Too Blessed To Be Stressed Book Tour

by Debora M Coty
ISBN: 978-1616263461
Published by: Barbour Publishing

Maybe it's time for a healthy dose of truth gift-wrapped in humor.

With her own brand of off-beat wit and near wisdom, inspirational humorist Debora Coty addresses heart needs of women drowning in the dhurning stress-pool of busyness. Heart-transforming, real-life stories and biblically based insights will encourage and delight readers, who will find just the simple, practical steps they need to arrive at healing, refreshment, and revitalization of spirit, body, and faith.

My thoughts:
This is a fun little book with small chunks of wisdom wrapped in humor. Opening with a short quiz where you are able to measure small areas with stress in your life and then gauge how stressed you are. The chapters are short, very easy to read and full of little steps you can use in your life to make stress less noticeable.

The sections to the book cover various areas of stress and each section has 10 short chapters that you can use as a devotional each morning or as you have a little time during the day to take a break. (I've included some of the chapter names and a breakdown of the types of subjects in each section so you can see different topics discussed)

Section 1: Time Management
Pressure Creates Both Diamonds & Volcanoes
-Superwoman has left the building (health awareness)
-Calendar Constipation (Simplify)
-Gray: The New Blond (Worry)

Section 2: Develop a Sense of Humor
Defeating the Joy-Sucking Dully-Funks
-Chocolate Makes My Jeans Shrink (Food Choices)
-Cobwebs in My Mop Bucket (managing messiness)
-Cheesecake: Not Just for Breakfast Anymore (Nutrition)

Section 3: Cultivate Relationships
No Woman Is an Island (But She Can Dream)
-Nuts In the Batter (Dealing w/ Difficult People)
-Latitude for Gratitude (Living Gratefully)
-Heart Matters (Finding Peace)
-Teddies to Toasters (Marital Intimacy)

Section 4: Focus on Faith
Marinating in Faith Produces the Choicest Priority Cuts
-Luther's Legacy (Unconditional Love)
-Lost and Found (Faith)
-Crossing Home Plate (Life after Life)
-Keep the Faith, Baby (Dependence on God)

Too Blessed is a little gem! Perfect as a gift for hostesses, teachers, moms, and more. I think I'm going to recommend this one to Mom & Dad as a bedside book in their bed & breakfast. I'm sure their guests will love having a little "light" reading in the morning or at bedtime.

Much thanks to Litfuse for sharing this little book with me. I actually took the book with me to the Women of Faith conference and a couple of ladies there had to check out the book and were very impressed. No money exchanged hands for the review of the book and I wasn't required to write a positive review.
